the buurman phenomenon
"de buurman" refers both to
D.B. Uurman and the general concept and theory of a buurman.
A buurman is known to everybody: either you have had a de buurman or youve been a de buurman.
but what exactly is a buurman?

a schedule of a buurman is different than a regular person and can seem vampiric

a role of buurman is one to be taken by the concept of first grabs or sheer dominance
between neighbors you will always see that only one will and can take up the role of buurman. if it was the case that both neighbors could become a buurman, there would not be a buurman anymore because the relationship would be equal.
multiple flavors of buurman
buurmans come in slightly different flavors. for example, they can be either social or antisocial. but the core of de buurman stays the same: unpredictable.
